Meet Dr. Samuel Kuo

Dr. Samuel Kuo was born and raised in Santa Cruz, where he developed a deep appreciation for his community. He graduated from Harbor High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry.

Following dental school, Dr. Kuo completed a General Practice Residency at the Fresno VA and Community Regional Medical Center, where he had the honor of serving as Chief Resident. After completing his training, he returned to his hometown and has been proudly serving the Santa Cruz community ever since.

Dr. Kuo is thrilled to practice alongside his sister, Dr. Angela Kuo Choy, at Kai Family Dentistry. Family has always been at the heart of everything he does, and he is passionate about creating that same welcoming, caring atmosphere for every patient who walks through the door.

Outside the office, Dr. Kuo enjoys spending quality time with his wife, their two sons, and extended family. Whether it’s playing sports, biking, or taking a walk along the beach, he cherishes staying active and making memories with loved ones.
