Meet Dr. Angela Choy

Hello, my name is Dr. Angela Choy and I look forward to seeing you!

I was born and raised here in Santa Cruz. Growing up in this beautiful community has shaped my passion for serving others, and I am excited to continue the tradition of such care that Dr. Tran has established in her practice. From my early days at Branciforte Elementary and Junior High to Harbor High School, I have always cherished the values of community and connection.

My journey in dentistry began at UCSC, where I helped establish the pre-dental student association. Next, I attended UCSF School of Dentistry, serving as a class officer and being actively involved in several professional dental organizations. I then completed a general practice residency in Fresno, where I gained valuable clinical experience at the VA Hospital's dental clinic and the Community Medical Center Dental Clinic, serving as chief resident during my second year. Since 2012, I have practiced dentistry in the Bay Area, including my time serving the Santa Cruz community at Dientes Dental Clinic.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family—my spouse and our two amazing children who love reading, basketball, and card games. I am particularly proud of my daughter, who aspires to become a dentist. I also have a close relationship with my brother, who practices dentistry here in Santa Cruz. In my free time, I love to be with family and friends, engage in arts and crafts, and take walks along Seabright Beach and West Cliff. I am passionate about providing gentle and relaxing dental care, using breathing and relaxation techniques to create a soothing environment.
